Students who wish to pursue Chartered Accountancy Course can register for the CA Foundation course only after passing 10 + 2 examination.

The CA Foundation exam is the entrance test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and without qualifying this test, candidates holding any qualification can not be considered eligible to pursue the course of CA.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) offers the Chartered Accountancy Course in India.

There are two ways to get admission for Chartered Accountancy Course.

Firstly you can do so by appearing for CA Foundation exam for which you must have passed at least 12th standard.

Secondly there is also a direct entry for those with graduation degree.

Candidate must have passed B.com with 55 percent marks.

Candidates who have completed other graduation course may also apply. (but need 60 percent marks).

To understand this recruitment you need to understand that Chartered Accountancy course has 3 stages. These stages are:- CA Founation exam, Integrated Professional Competency Test (IPPC) and Final Course.

As practitioners of public accounting, CAs may start professional practice as a proprietor or join any existing firm as a partner or staff member. He also acts as a business advisor by providing services like the preparation of financial reports, helping the business to secure loans etc. CA plays a vital role in assisting business and industry to improve the use of their resources, increase their efficiency and achieve their objectives.

A CA may prefer to join an industry or government department and ultimately hold responsible positions. Many Chartered Accountants hold responsible positions in business or industrial firms as CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Managing Directors, etc.

In a dynamic and challenging business environment, Chartered Accountants are looked upon as Complete business Solution Providers. This field provides employment in the areas of Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Finance, Business and Company laws, Taxation Ans Corporate Governance.

IMA's CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a professional certification credential in the management accounting and financial management fields. The certification signifies that the person possesses knowledge in the areas of financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics. The CMA is a U.S.-based, globally recognized certification offered by the Institute of Management Accountants.

CMA-certified professionals work inside organizations of all sizes, industries, and types, including manufacturing and services, public and private enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, academic institutions, government entities, and multinational corporations. To date, more than 50,000 CMAs have been certified in more than 100 countries.

Foundation program consistes of four papers :-

  • Business Environment and Law.
  • Business Management, Ethics and Entrepreneurship.
  • Business Econimics.
  • Fundamental of Accounting and Auditing.

For Foundation Program (Stage 1) :

It can be pursued by 10+2 pass or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts)
For Provisional registration:
Candidates can apply through provisional registration system immediately after receiving the admit card for appearing in 10+2 examination and also while awaiting results. Proof of passing in the examination will have to be furnished within six months of provisional registration.

For executive Program (Stage 2) :

Candidates, who have passed the Foundation Course, can apply for the Executive program.Executive Program can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except fine Arts.

For Professional Program :

Professional Program can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Program of CS Course.

The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 pass or equivalent has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.

  • Foundation Program
  • Executive Program
  • Professional Program

A candidate is declared to have passed the Founadation / Executive / Professional examination, if he/she secures a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggrgate of all subjects in one sitting. The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretary ship i.e.

  • Executive Program
  • Professional Program

CS Examination is conducted twice a year in June and December.

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is an entrance exam conducted all over India for admission into various law courses in participating law schools mentioned in latest CLAT notification.

CLAT exam was started in 2008, before that each law school conducted their own entrance exam.

The first CLAT Core Committee consisting of Vice Chancellors of participating NLUs had decided that the test should be conducted by rotation in the order of their establishment. The first CLAT exam was conducted by NLSIU Banglore in 2008, the tenth Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2017) is conducted by Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) Patna.

CLAT consistes of 200 objective questions for 200 marks. The pattern of question paper is:

  • English including Comprehension: 40 Marks.
  • General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 50 Marks.
  • Elementary Mathematics: 20 Marks (Numerical Ability).
  • Legal Aptitude/Awareness: 50 Marks.
  • Logical Reasoning: 40 Marks.

All India Management Association (AIMA) is conducting recruitment test Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) for participating institutes. The online registration of application ends in May first week.

Important Dates

For candidates who complete the Online Registration by Uploading digital image of photograph, Uploading digital image of signature and Online payment, the Last Date for Online Registration is 4 May 2018 (Friday) (In this case, candidates need not to send the printout of the registration Form. However, the candidate should retain a Printout of Registration Form for reference.)
